The Society of Women Engineers (SWE), founded in 1950, is a not-for-profit educational and service organization. SWE is the driving force that establishes engineering as a highly desirable career aspiration for women. SWE empowers women to succeed and advance in those aspirations and be recognized for their life-changing contributions and achievements as engineers and leaders.
Engineering students face many challenges and SWE is here to help! Our network of Collegiate and practicing engineers, training programs, and career services are resources to assist you in your path to a rich and rewarding career.
The Society is dedicated to increasing the number of women graduating from collegiate engineering degree programs from 18% to 30% by 2020. This section is dedicated to college students and counselors to give you the tools you need to thrive as a woman engineer.
