Research in BML is centered on developing novel biomedical microtechnologies. These engineered platforms mimic aspects of architecture, fluid flow, and cellular heterogeneity of native tissue environments and enable studying various physiologic and pathologic events. Areas of interests include cancer metastasis, scaffold-free tissue engineering and stem cells, and respiratory biofluid mechanics and drug delivery. These projects involve both experimental and computational aspects and collaboration with engineering and clinical investigators.
