Research in BML is centered on developing novel biomedical microtechnologies. These engineered platforms mimic aspects of architecture, fluid flow, and cellular heterogeneity of native tissue environments and enable studying various physiologic and pathologic events. Areas of interests are neural differentiation of stem cells, respiratory biofluid mechanics and drug delivery, cancer metastasis, and scaffold-free tissue engineering. These projects often involve both experimental and computational aspects and collaboration with engineering and clinical investigators.
